Enhance your prompts with AI-powered suggestions

Alfa automatically helps you write prompts with AI-powered prompt suggestions. These suggestions should help you get to better prompts faster, while also allowing you to discover Alfa’s capabilities along the way.

To use this tool, follow these steps:

1. Start typing your prompt in the prompt bar

2. Wait for Alfa to give you a suggestion

3. Either click Accept suggestion to accept the prompt suggestion OR

4. Keep typing in the prompt bar and then wait for a new suggestion

Turn on/off prompt suggestions

By default, all users will have prompt suggestions turned on. To turn off/on prompt suggestions, follow these steps:

1. Click Settings at the bottom-left of your screen

2. Click Preferences on the left sidebar

3. Scroll down to 'Prompt improvements', and toggle it on or off.

4. Save your changes

Limitations as of June 1, 2025

Character requirement

Prompt suggestions will only occur after a minimum of 15 characters are typed into the prompt bar.

Tool limitations

Prompt suggestions are currently limited in their ability to make use of certain prompting tools available through Alfa.
