Managing Data Sources

Alfa allows you to control which data sources are used when generating responses or running agents. Enabling additional sources increases coverage and context, while disabling sources restricts outputs to only the data you’ve approved. This gives you greater control over relevance, compliance, and cost.

To customize your data sources:

  1. From any screen on Alfa, click on your profile at the bottom left corner

  2. Click Settings then navigate to the Data Sources tab

  3. Toggle on or off the data sources you want Alfa to use when generating insights

  4. Hit Save to apply your settings, or hit Reset to revert any unsaved changes back to their previous values

Managing Approved Source List

For web search, news, and web scraping capabilities, you can also define an approved list of domains. Alfa will restrict web-based research to only the domains you authorize, helping ensure outputs align with your firm’s compliance and research standards.

To view your approved source list:

  1. From any screen on Alfa, click on your profile at the bottom left corner

  2. Click Settings than navigate to the Approved source list tab

  3. View the URLs of each source organized by web search, news, and web scraping
