Navigating Alfa - A Quick Tour of Every Tab

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Alfa's left-hand navigation is organized into a few groups. Here's what lives where.

Home

Your landing page, built around your watchlist or portfolio. As soon as you open Alfa, you'll see:

  • An Alfa chat box — a query field right on Home for quick queries without leaving the page.

  • Upcoming earnings — companies in your universe that are reporting earnings in the next month.

  • Morning note — a structured, cited summary of what changed overnight across your watchlist: earnings flags, macro shifts, portfolio signals. It's generated automatically before you arrive and refreshes every 12 hours with no prompting needed.

  • Briefings — news that impacts companies in your universe.

  • Sector and equity heat map — offers you a quick look at how your universe is doing, organized by sector.

Use this space to stay aligned, get inspired, and spot new opportunities as they emerge.

Research

This is where you go to actually ask Alfa something — and where the answer, however it takes shape, lives afterward. Ask a question, and Alfa decides whether an in-chat answer or a formatted agent output fits best, and can even build you a downloadable Excel or PDF file straight from the conversation.

  • Ask anything — type a question or prompt, add context, and pick the data sources you want Alfa to use

  • Prompt starters — browse the prompt library organized by use case, and tailor the prompt to your workflow

  • Sessions — every research conversation you've had is saveable, searchable, taggable, and can be scheduled to re-run automatically

  • Live output and quality check — watch the answer generate in real time; Alfa runs a pass afterwards to catch and fill any gaps

Agent Library

A library of thousands of pre-built agents, created by analysts and PMs doing similar work to you. Instead of building an agent from scratch, search the library first — point an existing agent at a company, a set of companies, or a watchlist, subscribe, and updates arrive on a regular cadence.

Smart Grids

A grid for running the same set of questions across many documents or companies at once. Rows are your documents or companies; columns are the analyses you want run on each one. Drop in a batch of filings or transcripts, pick a template or write your own prompts, and Alfa runs an agent per column — so you can read the answers across every document side by side instead of opening them one at a time.

Documents

View all primary sources here, including filings, broker research, and earnings reports, or upload your own documents for Alfa to perform analysis on.

App Integrations

This is where you connect Alfa to the tools you already use, including your Outlook inbox and Sharepoint. New MCP-based connections let Alfa read from — and work alongside — systems your research already lives in.
